Nobody in this room has ever put a book back on a shelf. They sit where they were last read: leaning towers of spines and covers, a loose heap that slid off the top and a few volumes left open where somebody lost interest. The dust says nobody has been here for a while. The ink says someone will be back.
Stacks of Books is a set of tabletop props for libraries, studies and scholars' hideouts. It has tall stacks of different heights and a loose pile to fill the gaps. Use them to crowd a wizard's tower, a monastery scriptorium, an abandoned archive or a merchant's back room. They also work as low cover, as a place to hide a clue and as a reason for your players to stop and search.
